Post-harvest losses in the agricultural sector have been identified as a significant factor contributing to food insufficiency in Nigeria. 

This alarming issue was highlighted during a training programme for participants in the National Youth Service Corps, on value addition to agricultural commodities, organized by the Nigerian Stored Products Institute.
