The European Union Traning Mission has announced the termination of its operations in Mali as its current mandate expires on May 18.
The decision followed a strategic review and consultations with the Malian authorities according to a statement by the EU diplomacy office on Wednesday.
The Mission is departing after eleven years of service, military partnership and collaboration with Bamako in the fight against jihadists.
