The European Union on Monday sanctioned Wagner.

The 27 member countries issued a visa ban and an asset freeze against several officials of the Russian private security company in their community space.

These sanctions also affect eight people and three companies linked to Wagner.

 The EU considers that this paramilitary group is guilty of "human rights violations" in the countries where it operates.
