The West African sub-region continues to face challenges in producing nutritious food for the well-being of its consumers, despite being a hub for agricultural investment.
To tackle these issues, the World Food Program and the Senegalese Nutrition and Food Association organized a symposium focused on the theme “Transformation of Food Systems through the Promotion of Healthy and Nutritious Food Based on Local Products.”
Nutrition experts, local producers, and partners in sustainable food production from Burkina Faso, Niger, Mauritania, Chad, Sierra Leone, and Senegal participated seeking specific understanding applicable to ensure nutritious food production in their respective countries.
