The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) concluded plans to relocate former President, Ernest Bal Koroma to Abuja, Nigeria’s capital today.
This part of the agreement reached by the mission to Freetown on 23 December by the commission’s delegation led by Ghana’s President Akufo-Addo, and Senegalese head of state, Macky Sall.
A statement signed by the ECOWAS Commissions president, Omar Alieu Touray, disclosed that the former President has accepted the offer to be hosted in Nigeria.
Speaking to WADR on the development, regional governance expert Ibrahima Khan said the regional Body’s decision is a step towards safeguarding the interest of the country and its citizens.
