The ECOWAS Parliament on Friday said there is a need for leaders in the sub-region to condemn those instigating constitutional and institutional coups with the same zeal and urgency as they do with military coups.

This assertion was made by the Speaker during the 2023 Parliamentary Seminar titled “The Challenges of Unconstitutional Regime Change and Presidential Term Limits in West Africa: The Role of the ECOWAS Parliament,” held in Winneba, the central region of Ghana.
