The Dakar Court of Appeal has officially confirmed the victory of Bassirou Diomaye Faye in the presidential election.

The court on Wednesday verified that the results were derived from the complete tally of votes across all polling stations, standing at 100%.

These results are anticipated to undergo further validation by the Constitutional Council in the forthcoming days.

As Augustine Kollie reports, Opponent Diomaye Faye emerged victorious in the initial round of voting, securing over 50% of the total votes cast.
