Sierra Leone is currently experiencing a shortage of the Leone currency.

Hence, commercial banks are restricting account holders to certain small amounts especially during this festive season.

For instance, Muthala Mohammed, an entrepreneur has been told by his banker that the maximum amount he can withdraw is three million Leones (three thousand dollars).
