Civil society organisations from West African countries ruled by the military are meeting in Conakry – The Guinean capital. The meeting was organised by the ECOWAS Political Affairs Committee.
The purpose of the meeting is to take stock of the political transitions in Guinea, Mali, Burkina Faso and Niger.
These organisations also discussed the role that the international community should play in supporting countries in transition to return to constitutional order.
