Togo’s government may be blowing the whistle on the controversy over the management of covid funds, but civil society is not letting up.

A dozen organizations, including the Togo Standing Citizen’s Forum and Lidaw Coalition, want to mobilize citizens around the issue and the fight against impunity for economic crimes.

It announces a meeting on Saturday, March 11 in Lomé.

A demonstration to demand that a judicial and political follow-up is given to the misappropriations and that the responsibilities are defined.
