In Togo, new measures have been enforced as part of the fight against the coronavirus.
Faced with the drop in the positivity rate and new contaminations observed for several weeks, the Government has decided to relax most of the restrictive measures.
To this end, all sporting activities with public participation, as well as cultural and social activities will be able to resume with presentation of proof of vaccination.
All officially recognized places of worship are also authorized to reopen, in strict compliance with sanitary measures.
The duration of isolation for positive subjects is reduced to 7 days for vaccinated people, and to 10 for non-vaccinated people.
In a statement issued, the Togolese government said the drop in the positivity rate is the result of the ongoing vaccination campaign and the mobilization of everyone.
The government however warned that the upward trend in the positivity rate will lead to the immediate application of the restrictive measures previously enacted.
