The UN’s health agency says the number of new cases of COVID-19 reported to it has now declined for 7 weeks in a row. 

The World Health organization  however said that deaths are not falling as quickly, saying that, the global decline masks a worrying increase in cases and deaths in many countries. 

The director general of the agency, Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus says the steep increase in Africa is especially concerning.
