A Lawmaker in Sierra Leone – Honourable Emmanuel Saidu Conteh for Constituency 129 alongside two other men have been granted bail by Magistrate Sahr Kekura after several weeks in incarceration while standing trial on allegations of unlawful importation and possession of firearms.

The first accused person, Naby Bangura, was denied bail following testimonies of the second prosecution witness, Detective Police Constable, Mohamed Jusu, whose testimony linked Naby to Whatsapp conversations about certain guns.

According to the lawyer representing the Honorable Saidu Conteh, this was the fourth time he was applying for bail for offences he described as boilable.
