Senegal’s March 24 delayed presidential election passed off peacefully with nineteen candidates contesting for the nation’s top job.
Across the country, polls closed at 6pm and immediately followed by vote counting.
Although there are still no official figures, just over 7 million Senegalese people elected their new President of the Republic.
It was a ballot that saw a huge turnout, especially among young people.
