PDCI leader Tidjane Thiam has strongly rejected a court decision removing his name from the electoral roll, calling it a politically motivated move to block his presidential bid.

In a video posted online, Thiam reaffirmed his resolve to contest the October elections, stating the PDCI has no alternative candidate.

“This attempt will not succeed,” he said, emphasizing that he remains the party’s official presidential hopeful.
