A witness in the case of former militia leader Amadé Ouérémi has accused the suspect of being behind several of the Duékoué massacres. Described as one of the worst massacres during 2011 post-election violence in Ivory Coast, human rights groups say Amade Oueremi's fighters executed hundreds of supporters of former President Laurent Gbagbo in the western town of Duekoue.
While appearing before the Abidjan Court of First Instance on Wednesday, the witness presented to the Tribunal hundreds of photos of the abuses attributed to the accused and his men during the period.
Adolphus Mawlolo has the details.
