The far north of Cote d’Ivoire has welcomed thousands of Burkinabè displaced on the border line due to the terrorist threat facing Burkina Faso.
On the occasion of African Borders Day, the National Borders Commission of Côte d’Ivoire brought together border stakeholders to strengthen peaceful cohabitation.
The village of Tougbo, located on the border with Burkina Faso, hosted the event, which aimed to raise awareness on issues related to border management and promote cross-border cooperation among indigenous and non-native populations.
