The legal team of opposition candidate Tidiane Thiam is pushing for his immediate reinstatement on Côte d’Ivoire’s electoral roll.
Thiam was disqualified over dual nationality concerns, despite the court confirming his Ivorian citizenship.
Authorities argue he wasn’t Ivorian at the time of registration, having held French nationality.
Thiam’s lawyers, calling the decision unjust, say he remains a legitimate contender for October’s presidential election.
