In Côte d'Ivoire, the opposition announces the creation of a national transitional council following last Saturday’s election which incumbent Alassane Ouattara is said to be wining.
The opposition says the transitional council will be chaired by the leader of the Democratic Party of Cote d’Ivoire PDCI-RDA, Henri Konan Bédié.
Leaders of the opposition declare that Cote d’Ivoire is without a president since the evening of October 31, 2020 –meaning they do not recognize Alassane Ouattara as the president of the country as they had protested his participation in the weekend’s election.
Pascal Affi NGUESSAN of the Ivorian Popular Front is the spokesman for the opposition. He spoke at a press conference in Abidjan on Monday.
