In Cote d’Ivoire, the Independent Electoral Commission (CEI) has removed Former president Laurent Gbagbo, along with 517 other individuals, from the voter register.
During an official presentation of the provisional electoral list, the President of the Commission, Ibrahim Kuibiert, disclosed that, after a thorough cleansing of the provisional electoral list and the inclusion of new registrants, the total number of registered voters stands at over 8 million.
This follows the enrollment operation that was initiated towards the end of 2022.
