Nigeria's Electoral Umpire, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, and the Northern Elders Forum have expressed concern over the incessant attacks on offices and officials of the country’s electoral agency.

These concerns were raised at the Northern Peace Conference, which brought together chieftains of political parties, security experts, civil society organizations, INEC Commissioners and Peace Advocates to deliberate on how to achieve peaceful elections in 2023.
