COMMUNITY REPORT – Authorities in The Gambia begin demolition of illegal structures

The Gambia Government began a nationwide demolition exercise in October this year.

The exercise witnessed the demolition of permanent and temporal structures forcing dozens of people to look for alternatives.

The goal is to remove all permanent and temporary structures and installations that are perceived to encroach public spaces thereby breaching laws governing road safety and public order.
