Chadian Interim president Mahamat Idriss Deby Itno on Wednesday received foreign ministers from the G5 Sahel member countries as part of efforts to renew the military alliance.

Ndjamena stated in a statement that the talks followed the weakening of the joint task force since Mali’s withdrawal on May 15, 2022.
