The Chadian national electoral commission over the weekend announced that, the citizens have given their nod to a constitutional referendum that sets the stage for a return to civilian governance.

The results revealed that the “yes” vote secured 86%, whereas the “no” vote trailed with 14%.

As Imoh Edet reports, the voter turnout reached 63.75% of the 8 million eligible voters.
