The Chadian government has announced the dismissal of the country’s Petroleum and Energy Minister Djerassem le Bemadjiel.
The decree communicated in a statement on Thursday neither stated the reason nor mentioned a replacement.
Ndjamena also said that Daoud Hamid Dabou was named Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Hydrocarbon Carbon company, replacing Dago Yacouba.
Chad earlier this year nationalized all the assets and rights including hydrocarbon permits and exploration and production authorizations’ that belonged to a subsidiary of Exxon Mobil after contesting a deal to sell them to Savannah Energy.
