Authorities in Cameroon say troops have arrested hundreds of armed men responsible for the communal violence in the northeast that displaced thousands of people.

The troops seized hundreds of weapons, 30 motorcycles, and nearly 200 cattle that were stolen during the conflict over scarce resources.

Recent figures by Cameroon, suggest that more than a hundred thousand people have crossed into neighboring Chad.
