The Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) has begun the appeal hearing filed by the Ahmad Ahmad – President of the Confederation of the African Football (CAF) to overturn his five-year ban on football by FIFA.

The Malagasy who said the ban was unfair, is hoping the football arbitrary court will overturn the ban handed by FIFA.

The court recently ruled that the ban by the world football governing body, should not prevent Ahmad of campaigning for the CAF's elective congress scheduled for next week.

While the court has restored his CAF presidency, it is highly unlikely that he will take part in CAF's presidential elections next week.
