The Burkinabé transitional authorities have implemented an immediate suspension of export permits for artisanal and semi-mechanized gold, as well as other precious commodities.

The Ministry of Mines, in a press release on Wednesday, stated that this suspension is aimed at cleaning up the sector and underscores the government’s dedication to improving the organization of gold and other precious substances’ marketing.
