Burkina Faso’s Hugues-Fabrice Zango won Burkina Faso’s first-ever world title in athletics this Monday at the ongoing World Athletic Championships held in Budapest, Hungary.
The triple jumper finished ahead of Cubans Lazaro Martinez and Cristian Napole who finished second and third respectively.
“I am proud to be the man who keeps his word. I promised to make history and I did it tonight,” shared the Olympic bronze medalist and holder of the men’s indoor triple jump world record.
