The Burkinabé authorities are planning to teach Russian in schools.

The announcement was made following a virtual meeting with the Russian authorities on April 19 by the communications department at the Ministry of National Education.

The proposed decision is dividing Burkina Faso as some are recommending that emphasis be placed on national languages.
