The Burkinabe interim government on Tuesday received approval from the transitional legislative assembly for the deployment of a military contingent to Niger.

The soldiers’ mission will be to support the Nigerien Junta in the event of any use of force against the state by ECOWAS.

The bill was adopted unanimously by the 71 deputies of the Transitional Legislative Assembly.
