The Burkinabe government has adopted a new decree extending the duration of the general mobilization and warning by one year.

Adopted at the council of ministers this week, the decree takes effect from April 19, 2024.

The information is now public knowledge just when several civil society and human rights organizations are accusing the regime of forced disappearances of people critical of the government.
