In Burkina Faso, 15 May each year will henceforth be dedicated to customs and traditions.
The decision was taken by the government in the Council of Ministers.
According to the transitional authorities, this decision aims to reaffirm the secular nature of the State and allow traditional religion to regain its place in society, a decision welcomed by the population.
