The transitional government of Burkina Faso met with private sector players to discuss the withdrawal of the countries of the Alliance of Sahel States from Ecowas.

The meeting, held on Monday, provided an opportunity for the government to explain the decision taken by the three heads of state and outline prospects. 

The Burkinabe head of government Apollinaire Kyelem reassured participants that the withdrawal would have no impact on the country’s economy.
