The Burkinabe government has renewed its diplomatic relations with North Korea, according to an official statement made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Olivia Roumba.

The announcement was made following a council of Ministers meeting on Wednesday.

Roumba stated that the resumption of diplomatic ties will enhance bilateral cooperation in several sectors, including security, mining, health, and agriculture.
