The Russian Federation has reopened its embassy in Burkina Faso after three decades of non-operation.

Commissioned on Thursday in Ouagadougou, Moscow hopes to deepen its relationship with the host nation on economic and security endeavours.

Until the reopening, Burkina Faso was part of the Russian representation in Côte d’Ivoire.
