The duration of the transition in Burkina Faso has been extended by 5 years beginning July 2, 2024.

The decision was confirmed at the conclusions of the National Conference held on Saturday in Ouagadougou, the Burkinabe capital.

It was initially scheduled to last two days, but the work of the National Conference ended Saturday evening, when the participants approved the extension of the transition for 60 months.
