The Burkina Faso government expels two French journalists who were working for the newspapers (le monde) Le Monde and Liberation.
The two newspapers have accused the authorities of attempting to suppress freedom of speech with an increasing crackdown on foreign media.
The correspondent for Liberation, Agnès Faivre, and Sophie Douce from Le Monde arrived in Paris on Sunday after they were summoned separately for questioning by the military authorities on Friday and later notified of their expulsion.
