The Burkinabe opposition denounces fraud and irregularities in Sunday’s doubled presidential and legislative elections.
Several opposition candidates said they had reservations about the partial results already published and they Independent Electoral Commission.
These parties back up their claims with 11 facts that they have observed on the ground.
These include the modification of the electoral map and polling stations at the last minute according to them, the late opening and sometimes the non-opening of several dozen polling stations throughout the national territory and the leaky transport of ballot boxes on motorcycles.
Partial and provisional results of 12 communes out of 365 gave the outgoing president Roch Kaboré the lead of the votes cast.
