Burkinabe Customs Authorities have intercepted nearly 7 tons of illicit drugs between late December 2024 and early January 2025.

Valued at approximately 170 million CFA francs ($267,413), the seized drugs represent one of the country’s largest hauls in recent years.

The authorities credited enhanced surveillance measures for the successful operation, reinforcing their commitment to combating drug trafficking.
