Burkina Faso says almost 70% of the territory is now under the control of the central government.

This update was provided by the Burkinabe Minister of Foreign Affairs at the 79th session of the UN General Assembly.

Karamoko Jean Marie Traoré further disclosed that 700,000 internally displaced persons had returned to their hometowns thanks to the efforts to reclaim the territory.
