The leader of the Burkinabé opposition is demanding the resignation of the prime minister and the defense minister. 

According to Eddie Komboïgo, the two government officials have failed to provide the needed security to prevent these attacks. 

In a similar vein, journalist and security analyst Atiana Serge Oulon says the country’s authorities are not learning from the failures recorded in the past.
