The Burkinabe army said it neutralised nearly 50 terrorists in a joint operation by the army and the volunteers for the defence of the homeland VDP in the northwest region.

The Saturday counter-offensive precisely occurred in Barani, a locality in the province of Kossi.

The information by The Burkina Information Agency (AIB) citing the army was published Sunday.
