Liberia is taking a bold step toward food self-sufficiency with the launch of a $26 million poultry facility championed by President Joseph Boakai.
Dubbed the “Agrotop” project, the facility is the largest of its kind since the country’s civil war and is expected to revolutionize local egg and chicken production.
This initiative aims to curb Liberia’s heavy reliance on imported poultry, boost local farming, and create jobs across the value chain.
President Boakai’s support signals a strong commitment to agricultural transformation and national food security.
