The Democrats and three other opposition parties have rejected the amendment of the electoral calendar for the 2026 general elections, as requested by the Constitutional Court on January 4.

During their meeting on Monday in the commercial capital, Cotonou, the parties also opposed the government’s proposed constitutional reform.
