Benin moves to repatriates migrants stranded in Equatorial Guinea

The Beninese government says it is working closely with the authorities of Equatorial Guinea to organize the return of Beninese migrants in difficult situations.

The Government of Benin, through its Ministry of Foreign Affairs, says it has taken steps to repatriate several dozen Beninese migrants currently stranded in Bata, Equatorial Guinea. The migrants were rescued after drifting at sea for nearly 20 days after running out of fuel while attempting to reach Gabon.
