A transformative initiative spanning two days has been launched in Dakar, the Senegalese capital, through a collaborative effort between the Batonga Foundation, a non-governmental organization, and the Mastercard Foundation.
This project, supported by Angelique Kidjo, the renowned Beninese artist and Founder of Batonga, aims to establish secure environments where young girls and women can enhance their skills, expand their social networks, and cultivate self-confidence.
Batonga will extend opportunities to marginalized adolescent girls in Senegal, who have been affected by harmful cultural practices, such as early marriage, thereby enabling them to realize their full potential and contribute significantly to society.
