A coalition of aviation workers’ unions in Nigeria held rallies at airports nationwide on Monday, to protest anti-labor clauses in new aviation bills.
The bills which are currently awaiting the assent of President Muhammadu Buhari, empowers the Minister of Aviation to prohibit industrial actions by the unions.
The unions are threatening to proceed with an industrial action in the next 14 days, if their requests for withdrawal of the bills are not granted.
