African Union President Macky Sall has expressed concern about the future of Minusma, the United Nations peacekeeping mission in Mali.

According to the Chairman of the AU, the United Nations must assume its responsibility in this war against terrorism, because it is up to the Security Council of the United Nations in the first place, to fight against insecurity and promote peace around the world.

Nigerien President Mohamed Bazoum has also expressed reservations about the withdrawal of Barkhane and Takuba troops from Mali.
