The Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Mousa Faki Mahamat, has expressed concerns about the security situation in Africa.

Mahamat During the 75th Ordinary Session of the African Charter on Human and People’s Rights in the Gambian capital Banjul described the current trend as “very alarming” and cited the conflict in Sudan as an example.

In the same vein, the President of the African Court on Human and People’s Rights raised concerns about some African states’ noncompliance with the court’s rulings, with some even refusing to sign their treaty.

WADR’s Banjul correspondent, Sankulleh Janko, has more in this report.
